Default Cabin filter for 2000 A4

Hello. Have a 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro and wanted to change the cabin filter. Does anybody know where it is and what is involved in changing it? Had a 1998 Passat before this and it was so easy so I can't imagine this being that hard. Thanks!

It's fairly easy. It is located under the passenger side window in the engine bay. You just have to remove the plastic rain shield with a few plastic screws and you'll see it tucked in there.

Jestnomen, thanks for the quick reply. Done and it took me 10 minutes to pull the old filter out!

Filters out dust particles from the air coming into the climate control system. Just like your furnace filter in your house.
