I did My dads with the G2 kit they have it at auto zone. you brush it on. i did it without removing the calipers. comes with CRC brake cleaner too. came out really well and has been on there all summer no problems.

if your goin to spray paint them i wouldnt leave them on considering that the paint goes everywhere, but i dont see any harm in painting them with a brush while they are still on.
(a good wind could move the spray paint to your car paint, ewww)

well considering i can paint them in my garage so the wind isn't a factor.. i'll prolly just paint them on, prolly the safest bet

I don't know about ppl doing crappy diy calipe jobs, it really isn't that hard.
I actually sprayed mine with a gun. I did four coats of yellow paint, and three clearcoats....came out beautiful.

I painted mine (spray) while on the car. Just tape up your fenders.
Its a simple job. Get on ebay and find some audi ring stickers and put on them. I did that and they look awesome.

ya i checked out a part's source by my place and they had the duplicolor stuff but not in red... not gonna be able to do it tom. afterall, goin golfing... prolly try it sometime next week... thanks for all the input.. i'll prolly clean them up good, iron brush and alcohol, and dry painting them with a brush, sounds like i should get the best results with that...

headshock: i was just gonna check out how the red looked before i got new wheels after the winter, if the red isn't looking good i'll just paint them black... guessin your liking the way yours look...? Still have that changer?
yeah I like them black... i've said before that I'd like red calipers, if I had a BBK... but with my puny stock brakes, i just want to clean them up, not advertise that they are there.

and yes, I still have the changer! make an offer if ya want it. I had it on ebay with a 200 reserve, and it hit 182.50 or something... bastards. I'd sell it for the 180 though, now. Just to have it gone... pay for text books maybe?
