Default cam gear and cams

i own a 20v 1.8t

i was wondering what you guys think about a set of cams...what would i gain? does the idle sound different with aftermarket cams?...do i need a new tune with new cams?

and the adustable cam gear im looking at is an easy way to adjust timing for us without tuning....what could this help with?..stronger idle?..easier tuning for more boost or for water/meth?

telll me what your views are and the rough cost of a set of cams...oh...and what cams to get

thanks

until your running a turbo making over 350whp, you dont need to worry about cams. Thats as far in this coversation im going since i know you wont ever get to the point of running them

they should be the last thing you worry about. Stop trying to waste money on things you dont need. If you want a loopy idle, get a V8

you seriously have to be the dumbest person on the forum hands down. First you should buy and install a turbo kit before wasteing money on things that will get you 0 gains and cost $1500. There are people making 500whp on 3076r's w/o cams. What does that tell you? Well since i know your going to get it wrong, ill tell you. It means you dont need them to make huge numbers. There is plenty of other things you should be spending your money on and cams is far from it.
