Default can anyone please help

the stock turbo went out in my car and i replaced it with a ko4 from turbopros.com the process seemed pretty straight forward so i did it myself and everything seemed to go smoothly until i restarted the car, once the new turbo was in place the car idled rough and misses badly if you give it gas. it will go up to about 2000rpm then back down to 800 or a thousand while im giving it steady throttle! the car ran fine other than no boost b4 the switch so im thinking it something simple but dont know....ill be truely greatful for any and all help even if its just a name of a reliable garage in the orlando area!

99a4quattro 1.8t 5spd,exhaust, intake, and just had awe tune the ecu to mach ko4 turbo...still no luck!

Sounds like a massive air leak somewhere, did you put all the piping back together?

well recheck and recheck you hoses, cause that sounds like the problem

another way to to check if its unmetered air entering the system is to unplug that MAF sensor and then start your car, see if that helps

thanks for the advice, as far as codes i dont have a scanner, and am trying to avoid wasting money to take it somewhere just so they can tell me its something stupid!when the car is running you can hear what sounds like an air leak but ill be a pig in flight if i can find it! funny thing is it sounds like its on the intake side rather than exhaust which is the only side i took anything offof so im totally stumped.

17953

P1545

Throttle Pos.Contr Malfunction

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
Then reconnect. Then turn the key to the on position and dont start the car. wait for about 60 seconds.
Then try to start and see what you get.
Have you tried cleaning the TB? That may cause a similar issue.
