thanx heaps for the replies fellas, would i be able to smell the car if it where lean????

okay im heaps confused and i dont wanna post all these logs thatll throw people off because i really need your help here... the car has the mods listed in my sig, which is a 1 bar neuspeed chip and pretty much a pod filter....

im looking at my logs for fuel trims and it says on idle i get around +4.7% (add) , and multi is almost always -0.8%, which to me indicated lean at idle but i can smell fuel when i idle, and on top of that the spark plugs had black all over them (i think its carbon from pics ive seen)...

fpr is stock...

and this is the only code i get thrown at me, which u guys (and thanx again) have searched and couldnt find in ur manuals...

1 Fault Found:
00561 - Mixture Adaptation
14-00 - Adaptation Limit (Add) Exceeded

now from what you just said, you smelling fuel but getting low fuel pressure, would make me think once again that its a fuel leak.
your fuel pump is pushing fuel to the injectors but somewhere inbetween its losing pressure ie. leaking. therefore
you could be running lean off of that, and smelling fuel. now even with a fuel leak my other cars still ran ok. like the loss in fuel
pressure didnt really make that big of a difference. however on these audis things seem to be a lot more sensitive. you never
said wether or not you could actually feel a difference in performance. take it out and romp on it a couple times. see what happens
and then report back. aye aye.
hahaha

ill defenitly get a gauge and look under the car for a leak, uno i thought i was going crazy but sometimes id see drops under my exhaust tips, but it could be a co-insidence, i didnt smell it bcuz id notice it as im on the way to work and cant really walk in the office smelling like fuel... id loose that promotion ive always wanted

so if i get a guage will that tell me if there is a leak at all? like if pressure is fine would that mean there are no leaks in the fuel like?

also to top it off on cold starts the car will start pretty bad revs will drop to 200 sometimes and then go bak to normal almost instantly, it use to stall on start up but i used vag-com to bump up how high the revs go on startup so now it get close to stall but doesnt....

yeah really the best troubleshooting is yourself. your eyes ears nose etc. if its too minute of a problem the test equipment might not
register anything.

My check engine light came on awhile ago saying i was running to rich. There was a leak in one of the small hoses going to the turbo. Not sure which one to be honest, might not help haha, i just got it replaced when I put GIAC in
