I was thinking of upgrading the current deck on my Audi A4 to an Alpine. So when I went in to Tweeter, I was quoted for installation at $220!! Does this sound right? I then went to a local place and they said $180. I tried Circuit City and Bestbuy and they said they don't touch german cars. Can anyone explain the high cost to me?

 

Its not easy to put aftermarket stereos in Audis. Some model years have install kits, but even those don't fit well.
Most installer will charge more for an Audi, or any premium car.
