Hey guys im having a car problem and hopefully someone can help. Just last night, i was having this weird thing happen. Whenever i stepped on the gas in my manual transmission 2002 audi a4 1.8t, rather than accelerate, it would act as if i had the clutch in and simply rev. When i let go of the gas after doing this, the car would just snap back into gear as if i just let go of the clutch. its really ****** weird. can someone help me with this? would could be the source of this problem?

 

I don't know what I'm talking about but I would guess you need a new clutch. It may be slipping big time.

 

aw ****. would u happen to know how much that costs or a rough estimate

 

It may also be something with your clutch engagement. Does it seem to slip when you get on the thottle lightly or does it only do it when you hammer on the throttle? Did you drive a stick before you got your A4? How many miles are on it?
