oh and interesting fact, in talking to the dealer today, it seem like the timing belt on this car has never been changed! (at least there's no record of it). is that possible? 116K

People that have a pre 2000 model should do it between 60 and 70k miles because the old style tensioner is unreliable and is only good for about that long. Its not a scam, its called preventative maintnance.
