I am looking to get a new car. I would like to spend under $15,000, and i think i have decided on an a4. Should i go with the 1.8t, 2.8, or 3.0. I want a quattro and a stick. What are the pluses and minuses of each? Which one would you go with? Thanks for the help.

 

depends on what you want.
if i had 15k laying around i would buy a white b6 1.8t.

do a search and you will soon know all.

I am looking at a 1998 maron(sp?) 2.8 quattro a4. It is a manual with 80,000 miles. It has the sports package. The interior is very clean, and they are asking $9,900 for it. I would be looking to do some mods.

I am also looking at a 2000 black 1.8t quattro a4. It is a manual with 58,700 miles. The interior is decent, and they are asking $15,200 for it. I would also be looking to do some mods on this one.

 

Well, if you want to mod go with the 1.8t. The only real mod for the 2.8 is to supercharge it. Theres lots of things to do with the 1.8t.
Just for reference i got my 98.5 1.8tqm with some mods on it for 8300 with 63,000 miles on it.

 

u could try to get the 3.0, but u might spend a lil more money. i would spend a lil more to get the 3.0. 6 speed. woosh i love that car. if not then ill go with the 2.8 (what i have)

 

you could get these cars a little bit cheaper but ya keep it stick and quattro whatev u do if u want themods go with 1.8 quattro i wish i new this when i bought my 2.8quattro
