car tops at 130?

Default car tops at 130?
I've been hearing rumors that American audi's have a chip that top them out at 130 mph...is this true? If so how would i get this feature disabled?

130 is the limit set at the factory.

When you get your car chipped, I am pretty sure they disable that.

Most cars that get shipped over here, as I understand it, are "goverened" - correct me if I am wrong.

i think he want the speed governer disabled
when u get chipped it gets disabled
but wuts the point a chipped 1.8T doesnt have the power really to pass 130

Thas right, they just changed the speed limit on the highway by my house to 140.

Oh yeah...well they just changed the speed limit on one of my signs to 155. Now I'm just waiting for them to change the rest so that I have time to get up to that speed. ha
