so i went to start my car today after not driving it for the past 3 days and it wont start. its not the battery since the lights/radio work, but when i turn the key to start it stutters and wont turn over. did my starter take a cr*p?

 

It could be your battery as it draws a huge load on it to start the car. Try jumping it...

 

Is it freezing out where the car's been parked? Could have frozen fuel in the lines, a bottle of "heet" could fix that. Or if the starter is not engaging all the way it took a dump. A few wack's with a hammer can get it to work temp. so you can get to the store.

 

yeah its been below 32 the past couple of days, but its been sitting in my garage. ill try both of those. thanks for the advice

Pull the codes.

 

possibly not enough cold cranking amps in the battery. Which is why lights works. If you hear the starter engaging the starter is still good. takethe battery out to have the cold cranking amps tested, If they are low buy a new battery.

 

haha.. what?? why would there be codes? Its most likely just a discharged battery from the cold.. A jump would be the first step.

 

yea just jump it man then go from there
