it just happen out of the blue, i did see a rabbit under my car, i know it sounds crazy butinstead of scaring it away i just started the car that was the first time it happend had a rough start but ran and was fine, then a few days later i was at the gas station filled up had a rough idle start low rpm so i turned the car off then wouldnt start since. i changed fuses, fuel pump relay, fuel pump. the guages were going crazy going on and off intermittently, now the guages are back on with all lights in console, with brake light on and flashing with a loud beep. no other lights came back on after i had the check engine light turned off codes were o2 sensor only i think

have you had alot of rain recently? these symptoms sometimes occur when the rain gutters in the cars sunroof get clogged, causing water to collect in the footwells and trunk, leading to electrical issue. also the tray behind the firewall gets clogged and flooded as well, and can leak into the ecu.

the car has been sitting in the garage for the past 5 months and still the same issue, not sayin thats not possible but i did check the ecu box and it seemed dry. i was having some issues of a wet passanger floor even when it wasnt raining and the drivers side window was leaking at the bottom by the post. supposidly the sunroof leak was fixed before i bought the car. if the ecu did get wet would that mean id need a new ecu, or could it be another issue like a lose connection to a switch on the transmission? i wish i could get the repair guide for the car, everything S4 is so hard to find or too expensive

there is something in the trunk that can cause issues too. i think its the comfort control module. you may want to check that.
your issues sound familiar. i've read somewhere about someone else having these exact same issues. i just cant remember. you may want to post this on audizine.com under the B5 s4/rs4 section. there are waaay more people on that site.
