Default catalytic issues

does anyone have any experience with this cat on e-bay. sounds like a good deal if true.

my dpipe and cat welds(press fits)went out 3 days apart. got a new dp in then converter broke at flange 3 days later.

looking for HFC but Labree, Tantrum, Random are all 2 week turnaround time. Thats just toooooo long. u'd think these guys would have some made up since it appears that audi has a problem with their dps and cats breaking.

Does anyone know of any other direct fit hf cats that are available immediately, with the exception of Milltek(too exp) and universal jobs.

Thanks for your replies.

You could risk getting that, but techtonics sells a high flow cat for the 1.8T for $295.

im in nc emissions....... so a test pipe is not really what i am looking for. just trying to find a 400 cel hfc without having to wait 2 weeks or buy the cheap one on e-bay. the welds do kinda look cheap but at least it has welds (vs my pos o.e.m.).

x1rider - so you bought the one on e-bay? did it fit correctly and no lights come on?

jeff- took me an hour to read your post, nice clips

thanks

Sorry for the confusion, I run the TechTonics Tuning HFC. I was getting the CEL for catalytic insufficiency but I fixed it with this:

went with the random technologies hfc. it is a 300 cel direct fit 2-02 sensor bunge to replace oem. will be getting it tomorrow. cost $300+ship+$15 bolts/gaskets. they happen to have one left on shelf. will let everyone know how it performs.
