Ever since i bought the car my CD changer has been giving me problems. It plays the cd and then half way through i get "Error 1" which is caused by dust. However i sprayed compressed air and tried to take out as much loose dust as i could... but still having problems. Before i open the CD changer i wanted to know if anyone else has encountered this problem also? Is my lense messdup??

try a disc/lense cleaner in the CD player

 

There is a TSB (91-04-01)out for this on VW. I could email it to you if you want
