Just wondering if anyone else has a problem with their factory deck playing cds. Mine will hit the 5th or so track on just about any cd then skip and error out. Like i said i tested it on a few cds, so is there a way to clean the lazer eye or something? I mean I don't want to have to go through the trouble of replacing that whole thing. 01 a4

My 01 A4 I just got a couple weeks ago is doing almost the same thing to burned cds. It works fine with bought cds. On the burned ones it sometimes plays fine then suddenly stops and starts playing from where it left off....or then it wont start playing song 7 for example if i was at song 3 and wanted to hear 7. I really dont want to replace the whole thing

 

Mine was screwing up so i tore it completely apart and cleaned everything really well and now it works perfect

 

im having the same problem with mine, went through 3 blank cd's (i've got 3 different cd burners) lol and finally ONE worked....stopped at track 12 of 20 though

 

i have some monkey problems with my changer. I got and maxwell ot maxtell cd cleaner and run it about 30sn. and BOOM! it is like a brand new changer now. try it, it is like $9

 

Where do you get that maxwell cleaner from? Sounds like its what i need.

I bought CD Lens Kleener at COMP USA for $10. It works well.

 

I got it from Meijer but you can find it every where. get maxwell ot something similer shoudl do it.
