haha thanks, stole the pic from the airbox mod section. ok so thats the o2 sensor. the the speed sensor on the transmission is actually under the car, I'd have to get under it to fix it right? i know it's not a hot item for taking pictures but if anyone has/is willing to take a picture of it so I know where it is that would be spectacular.

Jesnomen, I know I really should.. i've been thinking about it. how much are they, $100?

yeah either thats the cat/02 sensor or that is the smallest transmission i have ever seen

$70 or so for the cable and it comes with an unregistered version of the vag software that only gives you the codes and no detailed info during scans.. A laptop is sort of necessary too unless you get a REALLY long serial or usb extension wire to go to a desktop.

well i got under my car yesterday and saw some wires going into the trannsmission. I didn't know what I was looking for so i unplugged and plugged them back in but it didn't do anything. So I need a speedometer sensor. Here's the problem, I found this:

BUT I have a manual transmission. I've found this on about 3 sites, all for automatic. Is it the same for auto and manual?

lol yea unplugin things is the way to go lol, i dont know id call the dealer and ask them they know just be like i need to know before i come in, then never go in lol
