today on my way home from work scanned it and it came up p0171 bank 1 system too lean

so as i was checkin for vaccum leaks i found my oil dipstick extension cracked in half anybody think this would cause the cel to come on ?

 

Not likely, do you have/use a oil filled filter?

The dipstick wouldn't cause it, a bad mass air flow sensor could. Do you use a oil filled filter like K and N?

 

could be vac leak, ECTS, MAF sensor, fuel delivery issue. Probably MAF though... Check this

 

ill check that out tomoorw at lunch when im at work ill prob pull out the maf and spray it down wth contact cleaner thank's for the info onepoint8tee

funny you menton that cause i have the same problem in the same spot haha plus i found some loose clamps thanks guys problem solved !
