CEL Light ??

I had my CEL light read and the code was P0422. What does this code mean ?

Catalytic converter might be dying. Clear it and see if it comes back.

When you ask for help include the year model engine and transmission of your car and any mods.

So you know for next time.

Probably an 02 sensor.. Id replace that before the cat.. and if it ends up being the cat at least youll have a new 02 sensor(s)... More details please!!!!
Ya clear the code, if it comes back you can diagnose your 02 sensors and if they are cool than the cat is toast.

Ive cleared the code a few times already, its a 99' Audi 1.8TQ 97K miles, how do you diagnose the O2 sensor ?

If he replaces the O2 sensor and it ends up being the CAT, he better hope that the bad CAT doesn't screw up the new O2 sensor he just installed...
