Default Stabilizer LInk

Do you guys know what "stabilizer link" means? My mechanic told me that the passenger side stabilizer link on my 98.5 A4 Q is bad and needs to be replaced. I now searched it on internet, but couldnt find it in any autoparts shop. Any ideas? Thanks

I dunno, but id have him show you how its "bad" I didnt know those could go bad, unless hes talking about a bushing inside of it that has gone bad, and its just easier to replace the whole link.

Hes talking about the sway bar links. They can in fact go bad. They are just two ball joints on a curved bar. Usually they result in a clunk going over bumps.

If you sway bar links have to be replaced check and make sure your control arms don't need to be replaced as well.

Yeah for sure... for what the links might cost, you might want to just buy the whole control arm kit, the 12 piece one that comes with the swaybar end links... the 10 piece kit doesnt have the end links. You're bound to need the rest of the kit soon enough... everybody does.
