also if it hurts performance so bad, why do benz, porshce, lotus and other high performance cars all come with slotted or cross drilled rotors? i saw many a porsche at the track with cross drilled rotors... no cracking or fading... You just answered your own question. they are performance cars that are expected to be driven hard and made track ready. An A4 is far from this type of car, unless you toss in a capable turbo, than you can use simular brakes.
i have noticed they dont fade anymore.... Pads with a higher temp rating will do that. Its all pad in your case.

damn u guys are so harsh! just giving the guy my experience...
so for him to know, they are a spongy pad that bite well once warmed up... low low dust.. if u dont mind that... they are great, depends on your style, what u are using it for and what u like.. i like lots of initial grab so its not for me.....
and yes its great logic... any high performance track/aggressive pad is high in dust....
and yes, its exactly as i said
i have never seen a forum where more people cut each other down such as this one

If you dont like your pads, you would hate my Wilwood or any BBK pads. They have not for street use on the box since the operating temp is pretty high.
This is far from harsh. Its actually pretty tame compared to most forums. Try vortex and then get back to us.

i was just giving the guy my experience with them, he is free to choose whatever he likes... its just nice to be able to make an educated choice... i couldnt find anyone with them when i bought mine... now i hear a lot of complaints about their spongy feel....
and track pads are fine for the track because u keep them warm, but on my DD, i like pads with initial bite...

So explain again what setup you have to get a good bite on your braking ...
I don't like cleaning my wheels all the time like the next guy, but I want to be able to stop when I need to ... wouldn't be an issue if I was driving a Cavalier

just get some ebc green stuff pads and you will be happy. They are low dust and have a lower operating temp. If you drive hard, you should consider the redstuff pads.
