Default changing control arms

Like a poster below, I have heard some "rattling" when I go over speed bumps, and I took my car to the dealer and he recommended changing the front control arms, but of course, it was going to be like $1500 to do so. So my question is: how difficult is it to change the front control arms on a 2000 A4 1.8 Quattro? I got my hands on the Bentley manual and I have all the necessary tools, but before I try to dig into it too much, I figured I'd ask some people who know more than I do!

Also, has anyone installed these, or know if they're any good??

I'm interested in the Meyle Upgraded OE Control Arm & Heavy Duty Tie Rod End Kit W/Hardware (on the right hand side, a little ways down. $599.99)

thanks all!!!

It sounds like you're ready.
Just plan on spending 4-7 hours; depending on how skilled you are with the tools... and if you have help.

I bought the same kit and had it installed, as I'm mechanically inept (well with cars anyways).

Status Auto did it for $300, then the alignment was $70: http://www.statusautoservice.com

If you are nowhere near New England, then good luck!

I can see why they were squeaky as they gave me the old ones, the bushings were very worn, they were in pretty bad shape. I'm glad I had it done, am going to have them do my timing belt / water pump soon.
