Well we ripped the front off my friends 2.8A4 last night to replace the snub mount. I've heard it was a PITA, and it was kinda. For a $20 part it took about 4 hours for us first timers. I am doing mine next weekend and it will probably only take me 2 hours.

But just to let everyone know, its worth the mod, and if easily a DIY. The shifts are way smoother, up and down - depends on the condition of your previous snub of course. This is not an upgrade, really. Just a maintenance thing cuz the stock mount goes to **** after a couple years.

We used the Greedspeed.com mount - which is an actual Audi part - just the one used on thre GTI Rabbits. No shaving of the snub and mount for this particular snub mount, and there was no vibration at idle like the APR mount gives.

Overall a success and I can't wait to do it to mine. Pics will come then.
