One of my License Plate Bulbs burnt out today, and I came across this DIY on audiworld:

Do you guys think using LEDs would look good there? Ricey?
I'm not sure if it will draw too much attention to cops and such

lol that shouldnt draw any attention to cops...
it comes stock on the new lexus/toyota's and its looks freakin sweet if you ask me.
I wish i was confident with wires or else this would be done tomorrow on my ride.

As you can see, I like the look. I havent had any problems with the 5-0, if anything they probably dont care because you're not trying to hide your plates. I have gotten a couple looks from Lexus drivers however. I got 6 LED bulbs from www.superbrightleds.com
might want to try taking the bulb out and cleaning the contacts.. i thought mine was out, so i bought new ones.. then like two months later it went out again, and i thought it was a short.. so i took the bulb out and used some sand paper on the copper contact inside the housing.. and it worked again
I got mine from 42draftdesigns.com. get the 29mm 14.5v fuse style hyper white bulbs and they fit in the B5 very nice, not so sure though about the B6 or B7. Check their website

The left LED looks more yellowish than the right one because the left housing was burnt by the old bulb!!! It does get hot in there!!!
