Default Changing plugs in a 2002 3.0 6spd

I think its time to change the plugs in my car, I am used to working on cacalier's, civics, etc nothing really that high tech. I really dont want to take it to a shop and get ripped off anyone out there want to give a quick run down on what good plugs are, and a procedure. From the looks of it it could get a little tight. Thanks for any help.

Im pretty sure you just take off the cover on top to expose the coil packs on top. Pop those off and the plug is under there.. i dunno much about the 3.0 design, the back 3 plugs might be hard to get at?

remove plactic b.s. cover, unscrew all 12 bolts going into the head's holding coils on, remove coils and change sparkplugs, re-install coils, re-install plactic b.s. engine cover.

I just changed the plugs on my 2002 A4 3.0 6sp this past Saturday. I put in NGK prf6u11g plugs, which are the type originally installed.

To get at the ignition coils on the right side, you need to remove the upper section of the air cleaner.

To get at the ignition coils on the left side, you need to move the coolant expansion tank off to the side. To do this you need to remove the bolt in the front right of the tank, then lift the tank up then out towards you. You don't need to disconnect any hoses.

Now that you can get at the ignition coils, you need to remove the two bolts that hold the ingition coil wiring harness to the engine block. Next, you need to disconnect the ignition coils from the wiring harness. The Bentley manual says this is done by pressing down on the "catch" on each connector then pulling the two pieces apart. That didn't work for me so I pushed a small, flat blade screwdriver in their to get the job done. Now all you have to do is pull off the ignition coils to reveal the spark plugs.

Good luck.
