Changing Rotors. DIY Help?

RE: Changing Rotors. DIY Help?
I did it this morning. Those instructions were perfect. The rotors were not rusted on at all, they just fell right off. The thing that took the longest was getting off the first set of 17 mil bolts. I destoyed a cheap ratchet trying to get them off but my Craftsmen set held up fine.
I think i will go ahead and do the rear ones on monday. Thanks again for the help.

Yea you can use a C-clamp.
Twist, back off, twist, back off. it should twist and push the piston at the same time, but you have to let off to ease the pressure off of them.
Depends how worn your rotors are. Sometimes they just won't fit back between the pads. I'd reccomend to bleed the brakes after.
Start in the rear, furthest from the MC, then work your way around.

ORIGINAL: sandman
its really easy, kindof. all you do is remove the wheels and calipers and they theoretically should fall right off, but usually they are rusted on and it takes some force to remove them.

and bleeding the brakes is a good idea, pretty easy as well

Rear disks completed. Audiworld.com is a really great resource. Thanks for all the help guys. Breaking is a lot smoother without the frack'n DIY, cross drilled, warped rotors. I am really starting to love this little car.
