I have been doing research on different exhausts for the last couple of months for my 98 1.8T quattro and have finally decided to go eith Borla. I was wondering if you guys could help me out with finding the cheapest place to buy the system. I have found a few sites, but they are both selling them for over $800! I would really appreicate it if anyone who has ever bought a Borla exhaust somewhere could help me out.

that sounds like a good pirce $800 for a borla exhuast system. ive seen them for over $1000. I say try ebay, thats prob ur best bet. but consider urself lucky i cant get a borla exhaust they dont make it for the 2.8 V6, enjoy the exhaust

Buy the mufflers from Summit racing and have a muffler shop bend and weld you some pipes. itll end up costing like $400

 

Can they ever give u any guarantee on sound quality and performance tho?
Like... I'd want obvioust performance, but also a certain sound. Would it not just be a "wait and see" deal?
