Default Cheap Chips

I was cruising Ebay and came across these item numbers:

8025608144

8026418261

I suppose that, theoretically, these devices could do what they say, but I'm skeptical. I think it has something to do with the price, and in the second item, the description that reads like it was translated from chinese on an online translator.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried anything like this?

Those things are BS.. I know how one version works, it hooks up to the MAF and changes the resistance in the wires that go to it.. Makes the engine think its running at a different temp or something that makes you run rich probably... Something like that I have no idea other than they are a junk rip off. There is no such thing as a cheap chip.

Oh, there is such a thing as cheap chips....they just don't do anything!

I read further and found that the "Turbo-Pro" is not for use on turbo charged engines!!! Hmmmm. I'd say you're right, looks like a resistor that goes between the ambient air sensor and ecm.
