I was going to buy the laptop cable and get the software, but if this thing is just $70 I may pick it up.

My 2001 A4 is approaching 90k miles, and the CEL has been popping up lately.

 

If all that thing does is pull/erase codes then you can do that with your laptop + a cheap cable + free ross-tech software.

 

its a good diagnostic tool for the price and they work I have one, ideal for turning off the CEL when its only a minor issue so an instant cash saver ( not the same scope as VAG ) but good value
