Default Check Engine

I have a 2002 Audi 3.0 Quattro and recently having problem with the engine light goes off and on. It seems kind of weird because it happens only when i drive a car for a long distance up 200 miles continously and the check engine light comes on. I took it to the dealership and diagnosted been told the engines were misfired and they replaced the MAF sensor. But the engine light still pop right up the next day, now my car in the dealer shop for a week and they still cannot find out what wrong with it..... According to them the engine light is looping off and on.... what i see is the car is driving at a normal stage while the engine light comes on, but i would like to know how can engine be misfired? bad spark plugs, spark wires, air flow.................. ?

thanks in advance.

Does the engine run rough at all when the light comes on. It should for a misfire code. Never seen a maf cause misfires on the 3L. Unfortuantly without knowing what code is causing the cel its hard to say what the problem is. Theres been some coil failures but they always result in a dead miss and a flashing check engine light all the time.
