Check Engine Light on 2006 A4 2.0T
Hi All,
New to the forums and have a question on finding info on potential repairs. I have a solid check engine light on my 2006 A4 2.0T. Took it to AutoZone w/the following diagnosis:
Intake camshaft position (CMP) system performance
The ECM has detected the desired camshaft position and actual position do not agree
Probable cause:
Open or short circuit condition
Mechanical condition with CMP actuator
Failed CMP actuator solenoid
Low oil level
Aside from the low oil level, does anyone have an idea of how much CMP repairs can cost? Has anyone else every seen these types of errors show up?
Thanks so much in advance.
