Default Check Engine Light?

A few days ago my check engine light came on and i wasnted to know what could cause that. also around the same time, it was in the morn, i took off the e-break and stated to go and then the car beeped at me and the break light started to flash???? what could cause that?

there are a million things that could do that, i would take it to auto zone and see what codes u can pull with a vag com, was ur ebrake all the way down?

yeah, brake was all the way down, i stopped and then re applied it and the disengaged it again. but it still did it.

ur switch may be broken that senses if the brake is up or down, but i have never herd of that before

check to see what the break fluid leavel is at. if its low, chanses are, the brakes need to be doon. don't fill it up. you'll be taking back out when you do the brakes.
