Check engine light????
I did the airbox mod on my 96 2.8 5speed.. Sweet
My problem happend down the road a little. I was on my home and the check engine light came on.. So I popped the hood when I got home, and I noticed the the hose connecting to the airbox had come off at the clamp. I put it back on, and I pretty sure it's the reason the light came.
Question???? How the hell do I get the damn light off.. Can I unplug the batt. Or do I have to take it somewhere.??

ugh, if you SEARCHED you'd find that you need to pull the code and solve the problem. It might be completley unrelated to your airbox mod...
Most auto parts stores scan codes for free. Take it there and post back here.

I don't think it has to do with the mod.
But the diconnection of the hose..
Oh I have an after market stereo

Pull the neg battery cable for 5 minutes, that will clear it for sure, just make sure you have the radio code.
It will take a few (40) miles for the ecu to get back to normall totally.
