RE: check engine light
P1300 - Misfire detected Reason: Fuel level too low… just guessing, bad fuel pump, I would do some search maybe even call dealer and ask how many gallons/min. your pump should push.

fuel filter...
P1300: things to check according to Bentley CD
Fuel level less than 2 gallons, add fuel to tank
Check signal from sender for fuel gauge -G-:
Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting &Component
Locations
Check wire connection between Engine Control Module (ECM)
and instrument cluster according to wiring diagram:

I guess the thinking is that if the Fuel Sender in the tank reads "higher" than actual, you could run into a situation where the pump sucks vaour and that causes the engine to miss?
Note, I usually mention fuel filter because they are always overlooked. Sure AUDI says that they are good for the life of the car, but I've seen them plugged as early as 30K km.
Usually a "Fuel Trim Code" is set if the ECU has to compensate too much... but I've read about high fuel trims not setting codes as well.
When you take the filter out, shake it up and pour the contents into a glass jar, shake and drain every few seconds... once empty, blow through the filter in the direction of the arrow (on the filter). A clean filter will have no resistance to blowing.
