Check engine light is ON ....again!
OK guys, I am starting to give up on this car. I have another CEL and it points to vacuum leak on one of the hose. I have changed all the hoses and I am still having the CEL. I have a Y-shaped rubber connector changed today and still have the CEL. Can someone tell me what you have encountered with a vacuum leak. I have a 2001 A4 1.8TQ AWM engine.
you realize the CEL won't clear itself until it goes thru at least an entire drive cycle (~200 miles i think). you need a VAG-COM or at least an OBDII reader to clear the code, then retest after each component you replace.
