you need your paperwork as proof of warranty but they should also have it logged

its a part of the throttle body, on the Audi it incorporates a few sensors which clog up with carbon due to the EGR system so it needs cleaning out now and then, and thanks for your support on staying

 

Oh you mean the butterfly valve inside the throtle body (that what we westerners call it i think)?? Yeah thats always worth cleaning even if you dont have driveability problems.. Its good preventative maintinance.
or do you mean something else?? I cant think of another valve on the throtle body, but maybe thats because im dbw??

 

just a few more things than the butterfly valve get effected like airways which lead to the sensors get clogged up

 

this is a problem with the newer cars, the old ones had the sensors separate ( tp/IAC/ ) now they are one unit so its a full change out if it cant be sorted
