I should of brough a cheap OBD II off ebay. However, I was in such a hurry that I paid 30 bucks just to let them checked out, I guess that's not bad compare to other place, other place want 85 bucks just to fricking check it out.

I hearded autozone is free of charge, however, I found this out after I paid them to check.

UK price is £45.00 to check it and the same again to clear it (its not permitted to clear it at the same time) dealer rip off because most times its a soft code error which means there is nothing wrong just an error caused by cold start problems "icy weather"--- I charge £10.00 to check and turn it off" extra if it has a problem but pennies

 

Im guessing it might be an intermittent "Bad Cat Efficiency (sp?)"

I have the same rattle, on cold starts... my CEL comes on every so ofter with that code.

I'm replacing mine w/ a 3" ATP Test Pipe.. so no more CAT for me.

 

autozone doesnt reset anything they just check for codes. and yes its free.

 

you can get a loaner scan tool at autozone with a $178 deposit. then you can erase everything you want. bottom line its free.
