Default Chip advice and M3 question

Today was kinda a funny day. After tennis, my friend announced that he wants to sell his black on black 1997 M3 for $11,000 with 120K miles...I'm not quite sure if I want to do this...I love my A4. If I do end up keeping the A4 what is a good chip that will not damage the engine yet add a heap of HP (this is on a 96 2.8Q engine with 120K miles). As you could see I'm in a rut...could anyone give me some advice? The M3 is 4-door, excellent condition, all records, automatic and drool worthy. I had the privilage of driving it on some curvy roads. Thanks!

if ur car is stick i would stay with that but if not i would go with the m3 but u should have a compression check on it and check on how much ur insucance will go up.

the m3 is much much faster, and there's no chip available for your a4. there's pretty much nothing you can do to the 12v to get "a heap of hp." the m3 is much more likely to die on you than that 12v though, assuming they were both properly taken care of.

Yeah, I'd go m3 as well. Too bad its auto, but it's still going to be a much more exciting car to drive than the 12V.
Assuming where you live the climate allows for year round m3 driving... RWD in winter sucks, traction control or not.

Well if you are used to driving FWD ten the RWD would not be the best in the winter but if you are someone like myself I would love it haha most people see snow on the ground and get all worried I just look at it as a chance to have some fun
