Chip advice and M3 question
Yeah I've driven RWD in the snow, and the potential for fun is definately there... but I also was stuck behind a 540i this winter, as he was struggling to make it up a hill here in bowmanville, and he had snow tires. Was a lot of snow on the ground mind you... but watching this guy was a reminder, to leave RWD to dry pavement... and AWD is just as much fun in the snow :P

if your buddy drives that m3 hard, and especially if he hasn't taken good care of it, then chances are it doesn't have much life left. try to find a few m3s with over 125k miles, there aren't many. if i were you i'd find a buyer for him, and keep the difference. if it's clean, you can easily sell that car for 12-13 grand.
what makes this even more tempting is that I got an a really decent offer for my car ($9500!!!) since around here Audis are probably more expensive than a Mercedes or BMW. This is Santa Cruz, California btw. I know my friend and he took extreme care of his car...he still does. He is getting a 2002 M3. As for my car, I know my car and have only had it for 3 months or so. It is a quattro 2.8 with every option and alot of work done since I got it. I got that offer since my car literally looks new.
