hey guys been away for a while got a couple of ??s

1. what chip would you recommend for 2000 1.8t tip both for the engine and for the trans and where could i get them etc,
2. do i need to get them professioally fitted or can i do it myself?
3. the 710 diverter mod also can i do it or should i pay sum1 else

thanks heaps for your time

ps my car is other wise stock
pss will the auto handle the extra power ok without wearing it pre-maturely?

Clearly you either searched the wrong forums... or the concept of searching is far beyond you. Go back to drooling over Barney and leave your car alone.

That being said:

1. My suggestion would be... if you plan on upgrading your turbo... go GIAC... if you don't plan on upgrading your turbo... go APR. For the tip, GIAC tip chip

2. You can DIY, but professionally you get it dyno tuned perfectly to your car. DIY involves soldering your ECU... so it's a huge risk.

3. If you can't change your DV... don't touch your car beyond choosing an air freshener

Your auto can handle the chip... and probably a K04 and GIAC pretty well... but they're pretty feeble, I wouldn't push it. With an auto, I'd chip, intake, exhaust and leave it at that.
