Default Chip removal?

My car is going be traded in for my GTI, so Im gonna sell all my goodies. Can I get my chip out? (It was soldered in) Im willing to swap ecus with someone but they would have to life close to me. Im gonna try and get the car this week or next so it would need to be quick. What are my options with my ecu?

no idea... sorry man... and sorry to say but i live in cali... i do know how to solder and all that stuff... and im sure it can be done... but i dont know if i would do it my self... your proablly better off... finding a crashed a4 and buying the ecu and take your time selling your ecu so u dont get ripped off because of your time crunch

are your taking everything of it... and then putting all the oem stuff back on.. or what?...because i dont know the dealer... but normally what the dealers do... is take modded cars...and (im not racist but i get it from my granddad) they jew the price down... when they buy it back from you.. then when they sell it... its way way more than a stock car... when someone trys to buy it from them

Don't give it to the dealer chipped...
Just start a thread on all the forums... "Trade me your stock ECU + CASH!!!"

Haha Give somebody a good deal, and it'll happen fast... Just get your ECU code, so you know that you are getting the same ECU in return.
