Do a throttle body adjustment, clear the codes, regenerate readiness codes and drive moderately for a while.
BTW, have you upgraded your diverter valve? How old are your spark plugs? How old is your oxygen sensor? What chip did you get, 91 or 93?

hey, one of your coil packs went, i don't know why apr doesn't sujust it, but i blew two the day i got mine chipped, and other people on here have had the same thing. replace all 4 of them, they are like $30 each, i bought a spare 4 just to have in my trunk because they are known to fail, but i haven't had a problem since i replaced the orignals.
I chipped for 93 I never put anything less. I'm going to put new plugs I hope its not the coil pack, I don't think those would be easy to find now.
The rear o2 sense has been giving me issues for some time now but never caused misfire.

and about hte DV, they told me at the chip place that I didn't hav eto do any of that for now.

They told you don't have to do any of that for now..... bahahaha.
Dude your diverter valve is gonna go in the shatter in the next week if it already has not.. You're really taking a risk by driving with a stock DV valve, go buy another one even if its a small upgrade for 35$, our stock DV's are not meant for the increase in power a chip offers. Your lucky your DV isn't broken already.
Please please please go put a upgraded DV on asap, why would professionals say you don't need that for now........ im really boggled by this one.

Is the DV something I can do? I haven't searched yet on it but if it is I will do the DV.
I fixed the missfire, bad COIL found a shop that was open changed all 4 out. So next, DV in mind
next steps
Carbonio intake then borla exhst. maybe with test pipe.
once i get those done I think I will reach peak with my happiness of my car.

same thing happened to me when i got my chip put in. replace all coils and should be good to go from there. i replaced one next one went out, just replace them all its a known prblem with 1.8t kind of sucks but worth it in the end
I would highly not recomend the carbonio intake, it is cool looking and that's about it, it reduces hp over a standard intake. I have pretty much everything done you can do w/out doing any internals and the car is pretty much maxed, and soooo much fun....I've had a bunch of headaches like this, but on a bigger level...Now the car seems to be running good, but still needs some tweaking
