Hey everyone,

Has anyone here ever had their car chipped at TAPP AUTO in Ottawa? I have been there and their pricefor chipping is very VERY nice (450CDN). I'm just wondering what kind of reflash did you opt for (91 octane or 94) and how do the results of the reflash compare to something like an APRorGIAC chip.

Anyone????


BTW, the owner seems like he really knows his stuff and was very friendly. I'd definitely go there foe a reflash but it's his product the he himself has tuned and tweaked over time. I trust that it will work with no problems whatsoever but I'm just wondering how much of a performance increase I can expect and how it compares to the big boys.

 

its a good shop, and he does great tunes for bt setups, i think i would stick with apr or giac for a regular chip, that way there is a large company backing

i dont know performance wise how his chips/stack up to the other either

Im pretty sure TAPP tuned a 510 whp A4 1.8t. Id itd be worth a shot.

 

At 450 CDN I'd have to agree with you seeing as how GIAC and APR cost well over 600 CDN

My 01 is tuned with Tapp's chip... great chip... free lifetime upgrades when he has an update for the chip.

I deal with them for everything.. they're great!

I ran the tuning with a K03... now im running it with a K04 that I got from them.
