Just a question on which oil is ok to use in a 2000 1.8T
the dealer uses 5W40 syntec.... but I use 5W30 syntec however I find that im using up oil more so.. so i switched to 10W30 syntec..
so 5W in winter and 10W in summer... is it okto use the 10W30 syntec???

annnnd... also.. stupid quesiton... i want to change the pluggs or just check them out... but i cannot find them.. where do i look? [&:]

 

I have been using Castrol syntec 10W30 for my last two oil changes, and the one before that was syntec 5W30.

The spark plugs are located under the coilpacks, which are under the engine cover. I believe you need a 5mm hex for the coilpacks and a 5/8 spark plug socket with an extension.
