Chuff sound at low speeds
I have a stock 01 A4 1.8T with 90,000 miles. I have recently noticed a new sound in first or second gear when the engine speed is above 3000 rpm. The sound is a short cough sound, really like a "chuff".
I noticed it when sitting in the passenger seat with windows down (Im teaching my son to drive....)
The car behavior seems normal. Any ideas on what it could be?
