Plastic. Spray it down with a degreaser, then spray it off with water, then dress it up with some wd-40 or somethin.
My old car:

Doesn't WD-40 eat through plastic?

Hm... it seems I'm not getting a very straight answer. I'm not asking you to spell it out for me step by step... just something like:
You'll want to get some Plastic *fill in the correct noun* and cover up all the wires and stuff, then spray the whole thing down, and for the plastic parts... whatever.
Actually I take back that part about step by step... a step by step wouldn't be so bad... lol

I don't know man just improvise. I didn't cover up anything when I did mine, and I had no problems. Just don't spray the electrical stuff directly. I don't think its a big deal if some water gets on that stuff.
