im not sure what u are talking about with the clear corners. My 97 has clear corners that just slide out. The actual headlight has a couple of screws, and the right side has a screw that can be difficult to get to, but as far as the clear corner goes......Im just not sure what you are talking about.

Are 97 headlights one-piece? I thought they were two-piece unless you modded them..

I've got a 2001 and I've been prepping to do my own clear corners. The walkthroughs indicate 3 torx screws holding the headlight unit in, and the third screw is about 4-5 inches down behind the clearlight, so it's a bit tough to get at.

If you're using a torx set, you can get extender bits to get you in there, and a ball joint bit that will let you get at it from a funny angle (I haven't actually looked at it myself, just on paper)

yes, i know what ur talking about phrostbyt.....

the 3rd screw in very far down in the corner of the car...

here's how i did it:
use a flashlight and find the screw..
you wont be able to light it up and get your bit in at the same time so just stick the bit down in that hole and fish around until you fell it "bite"
start unscrewing CAREFULLY.. you've gotta "FEEL" when that screw is completely unscrewed.. you CAN feel it when it's outta threads..
but DO NOT let it fall into the belly pan, it didn't happen to me but i've heard it's a real pain when it does happen.
as long as the other 2 screws are allready out you should be able to go ahead and wiggle the headlight out far enough to acually grab the screw head with your fingers from the whole of the light-housing where you are removing the headlight from..
you see the screw threads into one of those "sliding-nut-clamp things", and it has a good bit of movement forward/backward in the housing..

NOW TO PUT IT BACK IN :
first, since the "slinding-nut-clamp thing" has benn slid forward you're gonna have to eye-up where you need to slide it back to to get the screw re-inserted into it from above..
and when you are putting that screw in BE CAREFULL NOT TO LET IT DROP INTO THE BELLY PAN !!
i used a piece of papertowel around the bolt-head to make the torx bit hold onto the bolt a little better, just check to see if it's gonna hold-on a little before you stick it down into the whole.

good luck, i did mine
and i'm so glad i did !!!!
it makes SUCH A NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE !!!
best visual improvement i could imagine doing to my car !!!
