Hello guys, I'm fairly new here, and have been reading a lot.. However I just ran into a bit of bad luck and wanted to post this up while the car is at the shop.
to begin, I should mention I had this clicking noise while accelerating at certain RPM (after clutch is fully enganged) after doing some reading I don't think its the tranny, so was about to swap out sparkplugs and see.. well yesterday while looking for a parking spot you could hear this quick ticking or clicking coming from the car as you would shift and drive on any gear, it was pretty bad. Suddenly the coolant image was displayed. So I parked the car and took a look. Sure enough no coolant in the reservoir. After some checking it seems the coolant hose going into the turbo broke. Car idles fine and (after filling it with water) drove fine for two blocks to the nearest mechanic, it never overheated or shut off.
Questions are:
-Although these turbos are dual cooled, will this hose breaking have an effect on the K03?
-The ticking/clicking issue seemed to get worse right before the hose broke, any ideas what this may be?
