strange thing happened today, i just left home in the morning, raced a skyline and when i won we came to next lights but when i took off i couldnt get into second gear (or any other gear)!!! i pulled over, tried to go in any gearbut it wouldnt let me.

when i pressed the clutch with car off it felt like it wasnt even there...

only way id put it in first is by turning car off putting it in first then turning car on... but then the car will slowly try to stall unless i pump the revs higher, if i take it out of gear revs will be normal...

i drove it home in first (sadddly) about 1 hour later, it drives perfect, buttt has a burning smell under the bonnett

probably the clutch plate if you smell burning, the price you pay for racing

 

Do you live in the states...? And what kinda skyline was it, even chipped your car is still a high 14/15 second car.. so wtf.[&:]

 

couldnt you have just rev matched and shifter without using the clutch ?

Has this problem on my old 2.8L what I get for racing in in street races every nite. (LOL)

When you try to put into 2nd gear...it wont go right? Like if something was blocking it?

The "burning smeel" its a UNIQUE smell... sounds to me like clutch.

 

strange thing is its working fine now... might have to find another skyline to bring out the problem for better diagnosing... jks..

well if its the clutch i dont mind to be honest, deserved it, long as i dont change clutch then problem comes bak thatd reallybe a pain in the ahem

 

I saw you got a 97...how many miles? might wanna take that clutch taken care of if you're gonna be racing.

yeah you basically burn your clutch... Easy on it about a week, then it will be fine again.
