I just had a stage 3 XTD clutch and 12lb flywheel installed. I noticed when at idle and car is in gear with the clutch pedal all the way to the floor i noticed it makes a clicking sound from the transmission. If i left off the pedal no more than an inch it goes away. Is this normal during the break in period? (has 500 miles on it) If not any idea what is making this noise?

 

If it's when the clutch pedal is all the way in, possibly something with the throwout bearing? I'm taking a stab here as I don't have any hands-on experience inside the transmission on my Audi (knock on wood), but maybe Auditech79 can clear it up some.

 

Some lightweight flywheels are known to chatter. I have a 14lb flywheel and I don't get any chatter. I doubt it's a throwout bearing just because i've never heard of it doing that, could be wrong though.

Its not a problem then if it chatters? It seems fine drivability wise, just making sure I don't have a problem.
