Clutch went out
So, i know im probly gonna get **** from people about this. My clutch burned out on my 2000 A4 the other day. The shop told me it was probably from my clutchwork and not being experienced enough with the gears, etc. Well now my parents want to sell it because the shop told them it will probably happen again. what should i do? any tips on driving this car? I now realize i just am going to have to be alot softer on it. but i am not going to let it go i refuse to sell this car because i love it so much. help me out guys, thanks
man i have no idea, i mean it was a loaner car for a dealership b4 i bought it so maybe it got alot of wear from that, but its not like i am bad at driving stick. and it has about 100000 miles on it. its was a bad **** up and i told my parents ill pay for it n ext time b ut they are being really dumb about it.
same thing happend to me, i burend a clutch up real fast after i got the car. dad fliped out and i took an audi tech for a ride in my car to make sure i was driving a stick right. he just said that i was pushing it too hard. basically he said i was racing a stock clutch and said it would go out again unless i took it easier or got a stronger one. i was launching the thing and shifting high in teh rpms and pushing it hard.
